OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The goal of this curriculum is to help the students process the significance of Easter. It is the most important event in human history and yet, we so often get distracted and miss the meaning of it all.
MAIN POINTS
1. Don’t miss out on the significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
2. We can often miss out on Easter when we believe we are closer to God than we really are.
3. Our physical closeness with God doesn’t always equate to a relational closeness with God.

VERSE
Luke 22:1-6 NLT
The Festival of Unleavened Bread, which is also called Passover, was approaching. 2 The leading priests and teachers of religious law were plotting how to kill Jesus, but they were afraid of the people’s reaction.
3 Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, 4 and he went to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them. 5 They were delighted, and they promised to give him money. 6 So he agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus so they could arrest him when the crowds weren’t around.
QUESTIONS
1. Why do you celebrate Easter?
2. That day Jesus went up on that cross, He set us all free. Do you feel free? Do you live in that freedom?
3. Why do you feel free or why do you not feel free?
4. Do you feel close to God? Why or why not?
5. We would all agree love has to be shown through actions. If someone looked at the actions you make, what would people say you love?
6. Think about your life in 5-10 years if you continue to take the same actions you currently do when it comes to your relationship with God. If continued, where would your relationship with God be at the end of those years?
PRAYER
Pray for the students to grow a deeper relationship with God and to not rest on how close they stand with him but on the relationship with the one they stand on.
