Capes & Cowls // Week 5 // Embracing the Underdog

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

The goal of this curriculum is to help the students understand that just because they’re an underdog doesn’t mean they can’t achieve God's purpose for their life.

MAIN POINTS

1. Don’t let people doubt you even when you're the underdog.
2. There are 4 qualities that make a successful underdog: living out what you're saying, discipline, confidence, and commitment.
3. Even though it’s insanely hard, don’t lose your faith because on the other side of your doubts and struggles is fulfilling your purpose.

QUESTIONS

1. What’s your favorite underdog story?
2. What’s a time in your life when you were an underdog?
3. What purpose do you think God is calling you to right now?
4. Do you feel like you are close to achieving that purpose or do you believe you are far from it? Why?
5. What habits do you need to implement in order to cover the distance from where you are, to achieving the purpose God is calling you to?
6. What pain have you experienced/will you experience in the pursuit of your purpose?
7. How can you stay committed to where you are being called to?

PRAYER

Pray for the students to live out where they are being called to even when people doubt, even when people see them as underdogs, and in the face of trials and tribulations.
